Is face fit testing a legal requirement?
Yes. Under COSHH, Asbestos and Confined Space Regulations, all tight-fitting masks (including FFP2, FFP3, half-face and full-face respirators) must be face fit tested by a competent person.
How often should healthcare staff be re-tested?
There is no universal two-year expiry period that applies to every workplace. Re-testing is required when the wearer changes respirator make, model, type or size, or where weight change, dental work, facial surgery, scarring or another facial change could affect the seal. Healthcare organisations may also set periodic retesting intervals within their own RPE policies.
Can you test large teams or multiple sites?

What’s the difference between a fit test and a fit check?
A fit test is a formal procedure carried out by a competent person to determine whether a specific make, model, type and size of tight-fitting facepiece can achieve an adequate seal on the wearer.
A fit check – also known as a seal check – is a quick self-check the wearer performs every time they put on the mask. It is not a substitute for a formal face fit test but helps the wearer check the seal before each use.
How long does a face fit test take?
Typically 15–30 minutes per person, depending on mask type and method. We can test dozens of staff per day with multiple engineers on site.
Will we receive certificates?
Yes. Every test includes a digital record identifying the wearer, respirator make, model, type and size, test method and result. These records can support HR files, internal reviews and CQC audit evidence.
Do you provide combined RPE services?
